Apple Store and devices now all accept Kakao Pay, the mobile payment service of South Korea¡¯s leading messenger KakaoTalk.

Kakao Pay said Thursday it has become the first Korean mobile payment platform to service iOS contents including those on App Store, Apple Music and iCloud.

iPhone users can now add Kakao Pay to their list of payment options after a simple authorization process. With Kakao Pay, their payment process has been made simpler and purchases can be checked in real-time on either the Kakao Pay or KakaoTalk app, the company said.

Kakao Pay is now available in all Apple devices that have an Apple ID, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch.

Kakao Pay was launched in 2014 as Korea¡¯s first mobile payment platform. Backed by KakaoTalk, Korea¡¯s most popular messaging app, the service has enjoyed rapid growth and now has more than 28 million users. Payments are made by drawing money from the connected bank accounts.
