Hyundai Wia Corp., South Korea¡¯s factory machinery and auto parts maker under Hyundai Motor Group, will participate in Russia¡¯s largest industrial trade fair for the first time to showcase its smart factory solutions backed by the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

The company said Monday it is joining the international industrial trade fair INNOPROM 2018 running from Monday to Thursday in Ekaterinburg, Russia, with its integrated revolution of industrial solution (IRIS) platform. This is the company¡¯s first participation in the trade fair, it added.

IRIS is a platform to monitor and control the operation of automated factory machine tools, their temperature, humidity and hydraulic pressure in real time by using the Internet of Things technology. The system will enable staff in Hyundai Wia¡¯s technology support center in Changwon, Korea, to remotely identify and fix faults in machine tools deployed at factories in foreign countries.

The INNOPROM is Russia¡¯s largest industrial trade fair held every year. More than 50,000 visitors from 95 countries will join this year¡¯s event, in which Korea is named a partner country.

Hyundai Wia will present its IRIS platform and strategy for the fourth industrial revolution on Monday and explain the Russia-Korea cooperation in high-tech on Tuesday.
