The world¡¯s top semiconductor and smartphone maker has recently been aggressive in automotive electronics field. It completed $8 billion cash buyout of Harman in November last year.

Sohn had spearheaded the acquisition and now chairs the board of Harman.

The future car goes beyond means of mobility. It would have to serve as lifestyle-on-the-move as a space for learning, aesthetic and health experience, he said.

The bioengineering technology based on biometrics and analytics will borrow the car space to radically change our lifestyle, he said.

Sohn was invited to speak at the Maekyung Media Group¡¯s the 24th Global Forum held in California, the U.S this week.
