▶ Consumer Price Index in February 2018
1) The Consumer Price Index was 104.26(2015=100) in February 2018. The index increased 0.8 percent from the preceding month and rose 1.4 percent from the same month of the previous year.
- The index excluding food and energy was 104.42 in February 2018. The index increased 0.4 percent from the preceding month and rose 1.3 percent from the same month of the previous year.

2)The Consumer Price Index by expenditure category in February 2018 was below.
- The index for Food and non-alcoholic beverages, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, Clothing and footwear, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, and Furnishings, household equipment & routine maintenance increased 2.9 percent, 0.1 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.6 percent, and 0.8 percent respectively from the preceding month. The index for Transport, Recreation and culture, Education, Restaurants and hotels, and Miscellaneous goods and services went up 0.3 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.4 percent, and 0.4 percent respectively from the preceding month.
- The index for Health and Communication remained unchanged from the preceding month.
