Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte visiting South Korea for the first time for a summit with Korean President Moon Jae-in dropped by an E-mart discount store in eastern Seoul to help pitch a festival of Philippines food.

Duterte’s state visit was timed with a Philippine Food Festival sponsored by the embassy and E-mart.

Before the president’s visit, E-Mart signed a contract with the Department of Agriculture Philippines to increase supplies of Philippine products. It also plans to hold the Philippine food festival regularly.

E-mart sells 110 billion won ($102.7 million) worth of food imports from the Philippines, mostly fruits.
