À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Hanjin Group and its flagship Korean Air Lines took another reputation hit thanks once again to a hot-tempered heiress of the family-run transportation conglomerate.
Cho Hyun-min, the youngest daughter of Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho has become the latest to come under fire for throw of tantrums and acts out of superiority over others.
The 35-year-old senior vice president of Korean Air Lines Co. and sister of Cho Hyun-ah, infamous of her ¡°nut rage¡±, threw a cup and water onto the face of a manager of an ad agency that was making ads for its flight to U.K during a meeting because he did not answer to her questions right away. The revelation went viral and sparked a gush of accounts of her similar overbearing and snobbish behaviors to ad agents and employees.
She posted an apology on her Facebook for her ¡°immature and unacceptable behavior¡± and claimed she had made an apology individually to the agency workers who were at the meeting.
The incident came just two weeks after her sister Cho Hyun-ah returned the management as president of KAL Hotel Network. The former vice president of KAL resigned from her post in 2014 upon sparking public outrage after she forced a plane to return to the gate in New York because she was upset about her nuts being served in a bag, not on a plate. She was also indicted for violation of aviation safety law and abuse of power.
Spoiled children of Hanjin Group hit stock prices. KAL shares plunged 6.5 percent to finish at 33,550 won ($31) on Thursday and its budget airline Jin Air Co. also slipped 4 percent to 31,250 won. On Friday, KAL shares rose 1.19 percent to end the day at 33,950 won and Jin Air fell 0.64 percent to 31,050 won.
