À̹ÌÁö È®´ë MBN, a major cable TV network in South Korea, will host ¡°MBN Y Forum 2016¡± next month in Seoul, bringing influential figures from the global economic, political, cultural and sports fields including World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and Olympic figure skating gold medalist Yuna Kim.
Under the theme of ¡°Dream It, Do It,¡± the forum will take place on February 24, 2016, at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, according to MBN Wednesday. The key event is the Hero Show inviting the winners of the 2030 Hero Award who will share their inspiring stories and secrets to success to encourage young people to have passion for their life and goals and give tips on how to prepare for the future and achieve their dreams.
As an annual ceremony honoring the most influential figures of the age, the award selects the forefront specialists in five sectors: global, politics, economy, culture and arts, and sports.
The final list of the 11 heroes this year includes Jim Yong Kim, president of the World Bank Group, Kyung-won Na, a high-profile, ruling Saenuri Party politician, and Hee-jung Ahn, governor of South Chungcheong Province for the global and politics sectors. For the economy sector, Jong-won Baek, CEO of The Born Korea, and Yong-jin Chung, vice chairman of Shinsegae Group, are selected.
Local TV show host and comedian Jae-suk Yoo, actor Dal-soo Oh, musician BoA and Korean National Ballet artistic director Sue-jin Kang are also picked as the heroes of the culture and arts sector, and they will give advice to young people dreaming of a cheerful future. Two sports heroes, soccer player Duri Cha and figure skater Yuna Kim, will join them, too.
In order to choose the heroes, MBN has asked more than 55,000 people in their 20s and 30s to vote from August to December of 2015.
