South Korea’s second-largest chipmaker SK Hynix Inc. released this year’s roster for its incubation and sponsorship program for technology startups and venture enterprises.

The program first launched last year is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to companies with high potential for technical innovation and growth through stable partnership.

This year’s awardees were MiCo Ltd., UB Materials Inc., and TEMC Inc.

Under a joint development contract, the three companies will be allowed to test produce jointly developed items at SK Hynix’s clean-rooms and other cutting-edge production lines. SK Hynix will not only evaluate product performance but also provide non-interest loans to fund technology development. It will also guarantee minimum purchase quantity on the developed items.

MiCo, is an engineering company that develops and produces functional ceramic components used in the chip making process. UB Materials makes chemical materials used in semiconductor polishing process. TEMC is known for its globally technical skills and competitiveness in laser gas area.
