Daehong Communications Inc., a marketing services unit of South Korea fifth largest conglomerate Lotte Group, has joined hands with Facebook Inc., hoping to enhance its mobile marketing competency.

The Korean marketing company said on Monday that it signed an agreement with Facebook to share digital marketing strategy and globally successful business knowhow with Instagram, a photo and video-sharing smartphone application owned by Facebook. Under the agreement, the two companies will hold various training and expert exchange programs.

Earlier this month Daehong Communications had invited Susan Rose, director of product marketing at Instagram, to its special marketing event Instagram Day to exchange ideas and views on current global marketing trend and future platform strategy.

This is not the first time that Daehong Communications has sought to forge partnership with global digital companies amid growing demand for mobile marketing.

An unnamed official from Daehong Communications said its digital media experts have taken Google Certification Program (GCP) and Google Analytics (GA) courses after reinforcing business partnership with a global media company last year. Such efforts have enabled the company to expand its digital campaign management capacity and raise insight-drawing level, the official added.

With the latest partnership with Facebook, the company will strive to create strong content for digital platforms highly sought by advertisers, it said.
