South Korea¡¯s leading liquor maker Hite Jinro Co. has opened its second exclusive offshore bar in Hong Kong as part of its outreach campaign with its bestselling beer and soju labels.
Hite Jinro said on Tuesday it opened a pub in Lan Kwai Fong, a popular night-life expat haunt in Hong Kong. The bar is the second overseas flagship store of the Korean liquor maker after Jinro soju bar in Hanoi, Vietnam that opened in October last year.
The two-story pub sells draft and regular beer labels Hite and Max and bestselling distilled rice liquor soju Chamisul lineup.
Hite Jinro exported 400,000 boxes of beer - each containing twenty 500-milliliter bottles - to Hong Kong last year, up 30 percent from a year ago. Its beer products dominated the seventh largest market share in the country in 2016 and sells at 2,000 grocery, convenience, and department stores.
