South Korean conglomerate GS Group’s retail unit GS Retail Co. will expand overseas outreach with its private-label products.

GS Retail said on Thursday it would double shipment to 200 types of beverages, snacks, ice creams, frozen foods and ready-to-eat or ready-to-cook meals under “You Us” label - to more than 10 countries across the world.

Currently, it supplies 100 types to Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore.

GS Retail’s private-label drink Snow Soda sold 60,000 cans in Taiwan through Seven-Eleven stores last year. It supplied 300,000 cans in latest blossom-flavored drink to the same convenient store chain in Taiwan due to high demand.

It ships 100 million won ($93,888) worth instant noodle products to Australia and New Zealand a year through local dealers.

“We are helping out the small manufacturers of private brands through exploring markets for overseas revenue,” an official at GS Retail.
