Korean cosmetics brand AHC tops sales during China¡¯s Singles Day

South Korea¡¯s leading skincare brand Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetic (AHC) said on Monday that it topped sales among Korean cosmetics brands during China¡¯s Singles Day, the country¡¯s biggest shopping extravaganza on November 11.

According to AHC, a luxury aesthetic cosmetics brand owned by Carver Korea Co., overall sales during this year¡¯s shopping event in China rose 240 percent from a year ago. The brand in particular raised 140 percent more sales year-on-year at Tmall Global, a leading cross-border e-commerce platform managed by China¡¯s Alibaba Group. It matched last year¡¯s total sales in only one hour and 11 minutes this year.

Ever since AHC expanded its presence in the vast online market by selling more than 1 million mask packs during last year¡¯s Singles Day, it launched products in different categories to further raise its brand image in China.

The best-selling item that sold out instantly during this year¡¯s shopping festival was the Premium Hydra B5 skin care line. Demand for AHC¡¯s steady seller Real Eye Cream for Face series was also high among Chinese consumers.
