DreamT Entertainment that manages popular South Korean girl group Girl`s Day is prepping to go public on the Kosdaq market.

The company said on Wednesday it will seek to promote its Konex-listed stocks to the secondary Kosdaq market within this year.

About one third of the firm is owned by Signal Entertainment Group and Kosdaq-listed ESA.

Besides Girl`s Day, key singers and entertainers of DreamT Entertainment include Hong Soo-ah, Ji Hyun-woo and MAP6. The company also owns a 80 percent stake in YMC Entertainment known for star names like Wanna One, Ailee, Jessica and Shin Bora.

Big Heat Entertainment whose key entertainer is latest K-pop icon BTS (Bangtan Boys) has hinted at a plan to go public in early next year. To prepare for its IPO, the company appointed a new chief financial officer last year and plans to submit a preliminary IPO review to Korea Exchange late this year.
