À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Hyundai Elevator Co., South Korea¡¯s top manufacturer of elevators and escalators, will launch chatbot service to provide its customers with faster and easier repair and maintenance services, the company said Monday.
The artificial-intelligence-powered chatbot will receive repair service requests from customers through a smartphone app and handle various customer services. The service will include answering frequently-asked elevator maintenance related questions, receiving and processing repair service requests as well as updating customers about service status.
The company has been test-running the chatbot service for a month and plans to officially launch the service on June 25.
Separately, the elevator maker said it is adding technical specialists in line with the changes in the state¡¯s elevator safety regulation. Last month, the Ministry of Interior and Safety announced that the safety code for elevators will be made stricter, requiring safety certification for a greater number of elevator parts.
