Samsung Electronics has debuted the world¡¯s first 3D Cinema LED screen at Arena Cinemas¡¯ Sihlcity theater in Switzerland, replacing a projection-based cinema screen, the company said on Wednesday.

The on-screen content on the 10.3 x 5.4m LED display will be amplified through High Dynamic Range (HDR) picture quality, with all visuals shining through ultra-sharp 4K resolution (4,096 x 2,160). The LED screen delivers bright colors, making it perfect for both 2D and 3D movies.

The 3D-ready variation of Samsung¡¯s Cinema LED screen provides consistent picture quality across an entire theater, ensuring a uniform and immersive viewing experience for viewers in every seat, paired with state-of-the-art audio technologies from HARMAN International¡¯s JBL Professional brand, Samsung Electronics said.

Last month Samsung Electronics unveiled the world¡¯s first 3D Cinema LED display at Europe`s largest AV and systems integration show ISE 2018 held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The new product was well received for its high-tech features including the reduction of unwanted color cross-talk among pixels.

Arena Cinemas, the third largest group of cinemas in Switzerland, has 50 screens overall at six sites.

Samsung¡¯s Cinema LED screen was first introduced in July 2017, and has been successfully installed in theaters in South Korea, China and Thailand before in Switzerland.
