South Korean startup tech company Pointlab Corp. said it has become the first Korean entity to develop and commercialize 3D full-body scanning system.

The 3D body scanning system requires multiple cutting-edge technologies and equipments such as camera modules, integrated data and precision 3D modeling.

Imported products cost from 150 million to 500 million won ($132,450~$441,501) and after-sales service had been poor, said Cho Min-ho, CEO of Pointlab.

The system newly developed by Pointlab consists of 3D modeling equipment that scans human body in 10 seconds with camera modules equipped with color cameras and infrared sensor, and analysis solution.

¡°Our system can be used for tailored suit making and doll manufacturing and also in obesity clinics, plastic surgery and body balance management,¡± added the CEO.
