Samsung Electronics has sent out invitations for Aug. 23 unpacking of next phablet succeeding the ill-fated Galaxy Note7.

A teaser image showed the outline of a phone that looks similar to the shape of the Galaxy S8 with a phrase, “Do bigger things,” indicating the upcoming model is the Galaxy Note 8. It also showed a blue stylus, a key feature of Samsung’s Note line.

The event will take place at Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan, New York, and about 2,000 participants are expected to show up, a turnout similar to that of the Unpack event for the Galaxy S8 last March held at New York City’s Lincoln Center.

Live streaming of the event will be available at www.samsung.com and Samsung Newsroom.

Rumors say that the Galaxy Note 8 will have a larger 6.3 to 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 3840×2160 pixels of resolution, dual rear cameras and 6GB of RAM.

The S pen may come with an embedded speaker.
