Naver to open startup support center at France¡¯s Station F

South Korea¡¯s internet portal giant Naver Corp. will open 80-desk workspace in the world¡¯s largest startup campus Station F in Paris, France as part of efforts to nurture promising young businesses of the world.

Station F, seating on a site of 34,000 square meters in Paris, France is the world¡¯s largest startup incubation center. World¡¯s leading tech companies including social networking giant Facebook Inc., software developer Zendesk Inc., online shop Vente-Privee.com have joined as Station F¡¯s partners to work together with startups that come from all across the world.

The Korean online portal operator said on Thursday that it will open 80 desks, the largest and the same number run by Facebook, at Station F to work together with other global tech leaders to help promising young entrepreneurs to learn from experienced experts. Naver has named its workstation as Space Green and it will ready the workspace for startups from not only Europe but also from other parts of the world including Asia.

Naver has built vast experience and knowledge from internet portal and mobile messenger operations, and it aims to share them with high-potential startups to lead global tech market¡¯s innovation, said Naver Chief Executive Officer Han Seong-sook.

Naver¡¯s founder Lee Hae-jin has been in Europe for business ventures and expansion opportunities.
