South Korean startup Analogue Plus has embarked fund-raising campaign for its hands-free device for headgear Ahead with the world¡¯s largest crowdfunding platform Kickstarter on Wednesday to roll out the product as early as July.
¡°We have high expectations on the launch of Ahead in Kickstarter after we confirmed its marketability at CES in January and Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February,¡± said Park Jae-hong, chief executive officer of Analogue Plus that was founded in 2016 after spinning off from Samsung Electronics C-Lab, on Tuesday. Park had worked for Samsung Electronics startup incubating platform C-Lab before leading the startup.
According to the company, Ahead, a smart communication device can be connected to smartphone via Bluetooth, enabling users to make and receive calls, listen to music and use voice navigation service while putting a helmet on.
Unlike other devices that need to be attached to the inside of the helmet or use supplementary devices such as a speaker or microphone, Ahead can be easily attached to the outside of the helmet without any accessories.
À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Ahead enables easy communication for helmet users, thanks to the technology that converts sound into vibration and allows users to hear the sound from every side of the helmet.
The device is also equipped with noise canceling technology that filters out ambient noises, allowing users to have conversations with others even while skiing or at noisy construction sites.
Upon raising funds for Ahead via Kickstarter starting Wednesday, the company plans to start mass production of the device as early as July.
