À̹ÌÁö È®´ë South Korea¡¯s largest mobile messaging service provider Kakao Corp. is readying to roll out artificial intelligence-powered software and hardware based on its self-developed technology within the year.
It would complete development of AI-powered smart platform and applications in the first half, incorporate its key messaging, music, and other mobile services, and introduce voice-activated devices exclusive to serve its platform, the company said.
The platform will be open interface inviting other technology companies to help the smart device evolve.
¡°AI platform is an area Kakao would be best at using its technology on Korean voice command and services network in the country,¡± said Kim Byung-hak, head of Kakao¡¯s AI division, expressed his confidence.
The task is led by Kakao Brain, its AI-focused subsidiary launched last month.
